ISO 9001 Certification
WHA is now ISO 9001:2015 certified.
We are pleased to announce that WHA International Inc. has been officially certified according to the standards outlined in ISO 9001. This indicates that our management system is in accordance with the requirements of the management system detailed in ISO 9001:2015 for
- Receiving and testing of customer materials and components to specific standards and
- Oxygen cleaning of customer parts.
What does this mean for clients? CEO Barry Newton, PhD explains that the new certification represents a very thorough vetting process by an internationally respected third party — it’s all in keeping with WHA’s quality standard. This company-wide philosophy fosters a culture oriented towards producing consistent outcomes, exceeding customer expectations, and constantly improving.
“WHA Strives To Inspire Employees To Deliver Consistent Excellence for High Customer Satisfaction.”

ISO 9001:2015 is of particular interest for manufacturers. Although WHA is not itself a manufacturer, its oxygen cleaning services are a critical step in clients’ manufacture of new products. The certification provides an extra level of assurance that every part is handled and serviced according to the highest levels of international quality and consistency.
The ISO 9001:2015 certification also offers a major benefit for our standard testing customers and represents a large step towards obtaining ISO 17025:2017 certification.
“We’ve had exceptional customer satisfaction for a long time, and this is simply the next logical step … We want to keep going above and beyond for our clients,” shares Gwenael Chiffoleau, PhD, who was the lead on the certification project.
Gwenael goes on to explain that the certification process was extremely thorough and far-reaching, “it’s as much of a business management guide as it is a traditional quality guide. It has quite a large scope, influencing every area of the company: HR, supplier evaluation, receiving and handling, calibration, facilities management, and more.”
“It’s a big step in WHA’s history,” says Gwenael. “It’s more than just a certification, we’ve really embraced the guidelines and procedural recommendations included in it … The improved documentation is going to make a big difference in on-boarding new staff and keeping ourselves accountable. It has already led to more efficiencies and we’re excited about continual improvement for our customers and employees.”
