O2 Clean & Compliance
Level 2: Intermediate Knowledge
This course includes our Level 1: O2 Aware course content and provides an in-depth understanding of oxygen cleaning requirements and cleaning processes to achieve compliance with international standards.
Audience
The course is designed for anyone specifying or supplying oxygen clean piping and equipment, implementing oxygen cleaning processes, working in oxygen clean rooms or clean areas, auditing oxygen equipment suppliers and processes, or verifying the cleanliness of oxygen piping and equipment as an end user.
Learning Goals
This course includes our Level 1: O2 Aware course content and builds on that foundation of oxygen safety awareness with specific training on oxygen cleaning using WHA’s published four-step methodology: Start Clean, Verify Clean, Assemble Clean, and Maintain Clean.
Student Objectives
In this class you will learn:
- The fundamentals of oxygen safety to understand why cleaning is critical
- Contaminant sources, types, and their associated hazards
- Required cleaning levels from a variety of industry standards
- The multiple steps to successful O2 cleaning processes and mapping process flow including:
- Incoming Storage and Inspection
- Pre-Cleaning
- Controlled Clean Areas
- Cleaning (cleaning agents/methods/
- Verification (Quantitative vs Qualitative, visual inspection methods)
- Assembly (assembly areas, protecting clean surfaces)
- Testing (Pressure testing, leak testing, purging)
- Preservation (packaging methods)
- Outgoing Storage
- Examples of Do’s and Don’ts within each step of the process, along with quizzes and case studies
Formats
- As onsite training, our O2 Clean & Compliance can be custom-tailored to a company’s specific oxygen systems and training needs.
- As a live webinar, this course is typically offered in two 4-hour sessions to deliver the 8 total hours of content.
- As an on-demand webinar on WHA’s Learning Management System, the content can be presented to a group in a single session or taken individually with self-paced access of up to 30 days.
Cost
The cost for this oxygen cleaning training is typically $800 per person. The final cost depends on several factors such as format, number of courses, number of personnel to be trained, and any custom add-ons. Group discounts and eTraining subscription discounts are available.
