O2 Aware

Audience

This course is designed for all personnel who work with or around oxygen or enriched oxygen systems. It provides an introduction or refresher appropriate for both non-technical and technical personnel.

Learning Goals

Students will receive a basic introduction to oxygen and oxygen fire hazards, risk management, and best practices. This course is shorter and more general in content than our Level 2: O2 Practice course, providing a basic awareness of the unique properties of oxygen, fire hazards, materials compatibility, ignition sources, and the need for oxygen system cleanliness. Quizzes are provided to review the main points in each section.

Student Objectives

After completing this basic oxygen safety training course, students will be equipped with a basic awareness of how oxygen increases the flammability and ignitability of materials. They will be able to apply a simple risk management approach and recognize good practices that safely defend against the hazards.

Formats

• The interactive eLearning format provides approximately one-hour of self-paced, on-demand online learning for individuals or groups.
• The live webinar version of this course provides a two-hour virtual training experience that can be custom-tailored to a client’s specific systems and needs. Students can participate individually on their own devices or together in one room.
• The onsite classroom version of this course is two-hours in length and can be custom-tailored to meet a client’s specific needs, featuring unique systems and factors found on-site.

Cost

The single-user course for on-demand training formats is $125 per person. Group discounts and subscription discounts are available.
