The objective of the Level 4: O2 Analyze course is to focus on the advanced aspects of oxygen system design and fire risk analysis. This course includes all of the content of previous levels, extending it with advanced design and analysis methods and applying the Oxygen Fire Risk Analysis (OFRA) tool to real oxygen systems.
Students will learn about specifying compatible materials, mitigating ignition through proper design and engineering controls, and implementing good practices related to cleaning, system operations and maintenance. Students will be grouped into oxygen hazards analysis teams (OHATs) and spend an entire day applying the OFRA tool to develop solutions that lower the probability and consequence of ignition.
- When presented onsite, packaged as a three-day course, you’ll receive content that’s custom-tailored to your company’s oxygen systems and technical training needs.
- WHA also offers this course as a training event twice per year at the WHA Test & Training Facility located in Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA and twice a year at various locations in Europe. Courses presented in-house at WHA include live test demonstrations as well as opportunities for private consulting and networking.
The learning goal of this course is to master oxygen systems design and fire risk analysis methods.
The student will identify system-level and component-level hazards, gain proficiency with the OFRA tool, and develop solutions, including advanced design concepts, that lower the probability and consequence of ignition through industry-specific case studies.
Technical personnel, including design engineers, process engineers, chemical and safety engineers, materials scientists, senior maintenance personnel, system supervisors, procedure writers, and others.
Cost for level 4 training is typically $2000-$2700 per person. Final cost depends on several factors such as format, number of courses, number of personnel to be trained, and any custom add-ons. Group discounts are available.
