As a metallurgical engineer, Paul Spencer is well versed with issues affecting materials, processes, and failure analyses, particularly in the context of litigation forensics.
Paul has worked since 1985 at NASA JSC White Sands Test Facility, holding a current position as Senior Engineering Specialist and Materials Technology Group Leader (GeoControl Systems). His licenses and certifications, including NAS410 and ASNT NDT Level III, allow Paul to administer nondestructive evaluation personnel training, certification, and examinations. As such, Paul supervises technicians and engineers performing materials testing and nondestructive evaluation (NDE) tasks supporting Space Shuttle and Space Station test programs (materials, components, and propulsion systems).
Paul also specializes in non-destructive testing and Level III outside agency services. Since 1988, he has provided test procedures, custom training, and certification examinations for businesses (small to Fortune 500 companies and governmental entities) in the academic, automotive, commercial aviation, defense, and energy sectors. He brings unique solutions to their inspection needs, questions and issues.
Paul has been a part-time lecturer at the University of Texas at El Paso since 1986. He is also a licensed PE in Texas.
