Gwenael serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Principal Scientist at WHA International and has been part of the Management Team since 2014.
Since 2002, he has helped develop and oversee the Standard and Custom Testing Teams, Oxygen Cleaning services, Facility Operations, and the Quality Management System at WHA. Gwenael has led research and test development involving flammability and ignition studies of materials and components in oxygen and other oxidizers. He has also traveled worldwide to conduct Oxygen Fire Risk Analyses, oxygen system and cleaning audits, fire and failure investigations, and oxygen safety training.
As an active member of ASTM International, he currently fulfills the Secretary position on the ASTM G4 Executive committee and has published and presented over 20 papers at ASTM G4 symposiums. Gwenael has also been a United States delegate at working group meetings of various International Standards Organization (ISO) technical committees.
During his postgraduate work, Gwenael was involved with research at NASA White Sands Test Facility (WSTF), where he performed Promoted Combustion tests using an ultrasonic measurement system that he helped develop. He has also worked for Air Liquide in Paris, France, and for the University of Queensland in Australia as a Reduced Gravity Test Engineer, where he conducted experiments onboard NASA’s Reduced Gravity Test Aircraft based in Houston, Texas.
