COPV Damage Detection Course

This is an intensive two day course that introduces composite pressure vessel technology and inspection training for damage to Carbon/Epoxy Composite Overwrapped Pressure Vessels (COPV). The course is offered by NASA Johnson Space Center-White Sands Test Facility (NASA-WSTF) in conjunction with WHA International, Inc.
This course is a WSTF-unique capability, as WSTF developed the data generated for the DDC (Damage Detection Course), the nondestructive evaluation (NDE), and the test facilities used. At the COPV DDC, students will be trained to detect visual damage on aerospace COPVs that exist as a collection only at WSTF. WSTF DDC instructors have over 25 years of combined experience and have been conducting this course since 1999. There is no other source that teaches this course to meet industry standards.
